Do you see or hear staff go in circles, badger, nag, plead, or even threaten?
Are problem clients often kicked up the chain of command to a supervisor to deal with?
Are clients not coming back for follow-up appointments and services?
And if they do, are they not following through on the plans that are made?
I have 15 years of experience providing Motivational Interviewing training in all sorts of environments, I have developed the ability to spot organizational barriers to motivation and figure out workarounds when policies can't be changed.
My second passion (after MI) is research. I'm comfortable developing measures, finding control groups and analyzing data that can help you establish an ROI.
My training focuses on implementing bite-sized pieces of MI. In order to do this, I developed an innovative online practice platform that walks people through the material without leaving them overwhelmed and not knowing where to begin.
Step 1: Conduct on-site live observation to learn about your program, figuring out what kinds of structural issues might be impacting client engagement
Step 2: Develop one or two data points to track to determine the ROI.
Step 3: Start staff training in the skills of MI
Step 4: Keep staff practicing the skills via the MI Companion, online practice platform
Step 5: Provide group and individual skills coaching.
Step 6: Review the data measures and adjust
Are you serious about supporting staff while they learn a new way of doing business?
Are you willing to get creative to address those structural barriers to motivation in your setting?
Are you willing to do some extra work and collect some data?
If you said to all 3 of those questions give me a call and let's get started with consulting.
